2024 Sunshine State Games Events

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Sports Foundation (FSF) launched two redesigned websites on Wednesday, March 13, accompanying Florida Tourism Day.  The new top-of-line, state-of-the-art websites provide a unique landing for FSF’s marquee amateur sporting events and brands: Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games, presented by Humana.

FSF is proud to announce the redesign of its new websites, which coincides with its expanding role as Florida’s leader in promoting and developing the Sunshine State’s professional, amateur, recreational sports and physical fitness opportunities in today’s thriving sports industry and environment.

Florida has a special year-round environment for the entire sports industry. The Sunshine State’s sports industry creates over $57.4 billion in economic impact, provides over 580,000 jobs for its citizens and attracts over 16 million out-of-state visitors each year.

“We are excited to give our visitors an easier way to learn about the Games, offer them opportunities to compete and serve as an additional source of communication and information about athletic events and participation opportunities throughout the year,” said Marvin E. Green, Jr., Vice President of Amateur Sports & Events. “The new websites are interactive and provide better access to information and, in turn, maintain a growing conversation with the surrounding community that can continue to advocate for an active lifestyle from the early ages of life to the golden years.”

Each brand’s individual website (www.FloridaSeniorGames.com and www.SunshineStateGames.com) provides a clear message of events that are provided to the community, opportunities to engage in physical fitness, and help connect like-minded enthusiasts for a common cause.

The websites also boast a clean design and an intuitive and consistent site-wide navigation system with improved menu functionality that directs online visitors to the information most relevant to them. The sites are also fully responsive with mobile devices, making it easy to navigate on a wide range of web browsers and portable devices.

With the redesign of the new websites, the continued use of FSF’s web-based registration partner, FUSE SPORT, will streamline participants’ abilities to register for events and have a secure environment for payment and information storage.

Moving forward, each set of Games, Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games, will communicate regularly through news articles, provide content updates via individual event pages and announce upcoming opportunities to participate with its event calendar.  Additionally, the Games will feature an active calendar of events, their details, contact information and results within their respective sites. FSF will continually add video content and photos galleries to their respective websites to showcase events, athletes, communities and venues.

The Florida Sports Foundation is excited to begin this new adventure and looks forward to continuing its daily interaction with its domestic and international communities.
