
Registration is available for several Sunshine State Games events taking place during its traditional competition month of June.

Archery, June 6-7, Gator Bowmen, Gainesville
Artistic Swimming, June 12-14, FAST (Florida Aqualic Swimming and Training), Ocala
Table Tennis, June 27-28, Legacy Park Multipurpose Center, Alachua
Taekwondo, June 20-21, Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus, Wesley Chaple.
Water Polo, June 20-21, Coral Springs Aquatic Center
Entry fees vary by sport and for Taekwondo, entry fees increase as the competition date draws nearer.
Besides the Archery competition in Gainesville, the weekend of June 6-7, swimmers will dive off the blocks at the Dwight H. Hunter Northeast Pool.
Now in its 46th year, the Sunshine State Games provides Florida amateur athletes with a starting point with the opportunity to advance to national and international competitions.
Two Sunshine State Games events were held during the month of May. Artistic Roller Skating was contested on Sunday, May 10 at the Astro Skate Zone of Palm Beach County with over 100 athletes competing.
Figure Skating featured over 300 skaters in action at AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, May 15-17.
During its storied history many athletes have advanced to the highest level of international competition including figure skater Andrew Torgeshev, from Coral Springs, who started skating in the Sunshine State Games at age five in 2006 and competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
Another recent Olympian who advanced from the Sunshine State Games is Ashley Johnson, a water polo player from Miami, who began as member of the Riptides team and has appeared in every Olympic Games since 2016 as the goaltender for the women’s water polo team.
The Sunshine State Games are a program of the Florida Sports Foundation, the official sports promotion and development organization of the State of Florida. The 2026 Games are presented in conjunction with the Gainesville Sports Commission, Florida’s Sports Coast, Ocala/Marion County and Visit Lauderdale.
