Tournament Format
With everyone stuck at home and quarantined, Generation Esports, the platform behind HSEL, the largest and longest-running High School Esports League, is launching a free tournament for League of Legends, Fortnite, and Teamfight Tactics for a 4-week long tournament. The purpose of the tournament is to give participants an opportunity to team up with their friends and participate in a competitive activity to keep them engaged and potentially try out a new game or two. The more you play, the better chance you have to be at the top of the leaderboard and get a cash prize and some cool participation prizes from our sponsors.
With the launch of our new Queue System, competitors will have a series of time slots throughout the week, at least 20 per week, to be matched up with a competitor to compete for prizes and bragging rights. For those that don’t make the top 3, will have some pretty awesome participation prizing from our sponsors.
There will be a total of 80 potential matches per game a competitor can participate in. The more you play, the more points you earn on the leaderboard and the better chance at winning a prize.
Charity Info:
Generation Esports is partnering with the Varsity Esports Foundation to support low-income families during this time of need with the “Social Distancing Cup COVID-19 Response Fund”. Gamers playing in this free event are encouraged to donate $5-$25 to the fund at https://www.varsityesportsfoundation.org/social-distancing-cup as well as share on social or even stream with overlay alerts to fundraise to support this fund.
League of Legends (Free) – 5v5 – PC Only – Invite your friends to your team to create a roster of 5-10 people to compete against other teams.
Rocket League ($10) – 1v1 – PC, Xbox One, PS4, or Nintendo Switch – Register yourself to compete against others in soccer game with cars.
TeamFight Tactics (Free)- 1v1 – Mobile or PC – Compete in this new popular round-based battle game

$1,000 prize pool per tournament
